Galadriel Commission

My friend ~avi17 is going to DragonCon next week. She commissioned this dress so she can go as Galadriel from "The Lord of the Rings."

I used Simplicity pattern 9891 as a base, but improvised on the sleeves, hem, and belt. I made the sleeves longer and created a trailing hem. I also tacked the collar down into a better shape.

The fabric on the dress has a slight crinkle to it and both the dress and sleeve fabrics have a slight shimmer. The belt is white ribbon with a silver leaf and scroll design.
