Winter Grey Twisted Capelet by Durnesque Winter Grey Twisted Capelet by Durnesque
My friend Dani, for whom I made this cloak (for festival), wanted a variation she could wear in real life in the winter. So I made her this! And it very well might be the finest thing I've made thus far.

It is a custom design based on Butterick 4265.

Replicas (in fabric/colors of your choosing) may be commissioned for $50-80 +shipping. Please note if you would like to order one.

I could not find the pattern for this cloak

That would be because it is my own original design, though it is based on the pattern listed, the pattern is not going to look like what I made.

Oooh, that's really nice! :D Do you have any long cloak patterns that you would particuarly reccomend? I need to make that fur cloak, and I have a feeling it will go better if I don't try to just pull it out of my ass, especially the hood. XD

Thanks girl! But aside from this one, I don't use patterns for cloaks. :/ Sorry.

Beautiful! I just recently made a capelet of my own :) Like yours, mine is reversible (dark purple on one side, slate gray on the other), and has a button and loop closure. What kinds of fabric did you use? I used wool for mine.

Thank you! The plaid is a flannel and the plain grey is a soft denim. Wool was too pricey for this commission.

I like the choices :) And I hear you- normally I wouldn't have been able to afford the wool, but it was marked down big time (it was about $6 per yard vs. the usual $26).
