White Summer Dress

Description

Obviously this is not actually a Renaissance Festival work uniform! This is one of two spring/summer dresses I made last year.

This one I made for Easter.

It's a little hard to tell, but the top and skirt are made of plain white cotton, but the waist and shoulders are of a gauzy, white silk-like fabric. Up close, it shimmers a bit, but this did not come through so well.

FAQ: The pattern is McCall's M5094. :)

May I use this as a reference to a picture I'm working on? I think the wrinkles at the chest and waist area would help me get an idea how to paint the ones on the girl in the dress on this picture: LeanaValeon

Aside from my question, this is a beautiful piece of work. May I ask how long it took you to sew/stitch together? And was it difficult to make that part at the stomach area do what you want?
...I know nothing about sewing, I'm sorry if these are foolish questions. ^^; This is just a really pretty dress!
