White Summer Dress by Durnesque White Summer Dress by Durnesque
Obviously this is not actually a Renaissance Festival work uniform! This is one of two spring/summer dresses I made last year.

This one I made for Easter.

It's a little hard to tell, but the top and skirt are made of plain white cotton, but the waist and shoulders are of a gauzy, white silk-like fabric. Up close, it shimmers a bit, but this did not come through so well.

FAQ: The pattern is McCall's M5094. :)

Unfortunately, not for something this complicated. I would keep an eye out though, fabric stores occasionally run brilliant sales where they sell patterns for $1-2. I just bought a bunch on a sale like that.

Can I ask you did the "darts" or Gathers or whatever for the bust?

Yes I did, they're a series of darts- but they were part of the pattern.

Very pretty! I have the same pattern, but I accidentally picked up the wrong size, and didn't realize it until after I had made a test version of the dress -_- (I haven't bought a pattern in quite a while and forgot my dress size)

This one does indeed look very nice on you!

It's ok, I think I can modify it to fit me anyway. It's a simple pattern, so it should be easy enough to alter the pattern piece for the bodice to match my measurements =D
And I have spare muslin to test it on, so I won't ruin any good fabric trying to figure it out!
