Quick Cosplay: Sailor Moon

So I don't know why, but when I'm in need of a last minute Halloween costume, favorite animes from childhood seem to jump out at me (see last year's Quick Kiki Costume).

I realized on Sunday that I'd forgotten a few pieces of my Tonks costume at home and so needed to come up with something else for Halloween. While trying to piece together a 50's pin-up look, I realized I could make a pretty good (albeit brunette) Sailor Moon costume.

I put this all together in about 30 minutes with stuff I already had. Like the hairclips which were leftovers from Valentine's Day. The only thing I actually had to make were the bows and gold head-piece. I made the bows out of some spare red fabric I had in my sewing box and the headpiece out of a gold ribbon and button.

For a 30 min costume, I was well pleased with the result. And got a lot of compliments on it at the concert/party I went to
