Nymphadora Tonks Costumeby *Durnesque

I decided last minute to go as Nymphadora Tonks for the HP premiere tonight. Not wanting to spend any money, I cobbled this together from pieces and fabric I already owned. (It's good to have a large supply of scrap fabric and old costumes)

She actually does have a second pocket on the right that's not visible in this picture, because it's lower and further to the side than the right pocket I put on. But because my jacket is more symmetrical than hers, it would have looked funny if I'd placed the pocket the same. I decided not to cut the hem like hers because I don't have as many fabric folds so it wouldn't have worked as well.

I've figured out a way to rig my hair (which falls to the middle of my back) into a short style like hers and will spray it purple and pink. I'll post a deviation in costume tonight.

I'm going as Tonks for a cosplay event I'm doing security for, and I'm doing the outfit that inspired yours, though I've no idea what to do for her necklace. How did you set yours together?

Mine's strips of fabric with gold buttons attached. It's fastened with a snap in the back. Her's appear to be leather straps, but brown fabric works just as well.
