Irene Flores Inspired Wonder Woman by Durnesque
Irene Flores Inspired Wonder Woman
So I fell in love with this artwork by Irene Flores aka…

I decided to recreate it as best I could for DragonCon 2015. I added a belt loop for the lasso as well as a pocket for my phone and cards. I hope the artist likes it... I'm very satisfied with the final result!

To see more photos of this outfit, please check out my Facebook page: Sarah's Stache or on my Tumblr. On tumblr, please only reblog from me!

Megara Dress by Durnesque
Megara Dress

Finished Megara dress which I’ve sold to a dear friend of mine!

It’s got a corset-laced back so it’ll be adjustable. I was aiming to be a mix between the movie, face character, and actual historical chiton-styles.

You can see more photos of this dress on my Facebook page: Sarah’s Stache or Tumblr. Please do NOT repost these images to any site!

Belle Gown - 2015 by Durnesque
Belle Gown - 2015
I wanted to update my personal Belle gown, because I was not happy with the way the two fabrics photographed together. This is the original skirt and arm pieces with a new bodice and skirt swag in a mute yellow-gold satin. So happy with how it turned out! I'll be wearing this to DragonCon later this summer!

Summer in Review

Wed Sep 3, 2014, 6:13 PM
Dear Friends, Watchers, and Visitors;

Thank you all, as always, SO MUCH! Over the summer my page surpassed 50,000 views - which is rather overwhelming. I was, as expected, insanely busy this summer, so here's a run down of what projects came to fruition and which did not.

:bulletblack: I worked through my commissions wait list (FINALLY!) and stacked up a new one for fall.
:bulletblack: Went to a wedding and Disney 3 times!!! Once with my best friend and twice with my boyfriend and his family.
:bulletblack: Started my Princess project: Princess tee shirts! You can see some completed in my gallery and the full plan here
:bulletblack: I made my own cosplays for the FIRST time and premiered them at the infamous DashCon as well as DragonCon. Cosplays completed were: Street Wonder Woman and Belle's Ballgown.
:bulletblack: I also made cosplays for my boyfriend, Sean M Moreno: Gaston and Beauty's Prince/Prince Adam
:bulletblack: Made my own pirating garb for shenanigans with the aforementioned boyfriend  aka Captain Francis Drake
:bulletblack: I wrote a Renaissance Festival show with my girlfriends and we signed a multi-year contract to perform at the Carolina Renaissance Festival! You can see our facebook page about "The Angels" here.

Just about the only thing I did not get around to on my summer itinerary was more hair tutorials... sadly I had way less time on my hands than expected. Maybe more will appear this fall.

Here are some of the pieces I made this summer:

Thank you very much! I do a fair amount of digital work too, though. Every photograph requires digital work to process, more than you might think, but I do love every aspect of what I do. :)
